When it comes to the beer industry stories are written, laughed at, and told over an over again.
This is one such story between Mac with PNW Beer Lovers, Andy with CaskCades and Matt with Narrows Brewing. Per the norm, it begins with grown adults who feel younger than they really are.
In 2018 Mac felt younger than ever one day and decided “Hey, I can still ride a skateboard.” Unfortunately, that ended with a broken elbow.
A year later Andy had been persistently pleading with his wife to ride a scooter to which she always said NO to because that’s “how people get hurt”. As soon as Andy had a solo chance at GABF, he said, “It’s time to ride!” Before the weekend was out Andy was in the ER with a broken elbow just as his buddy Mac had predicted.
As they compared stories and laughs, Andy saw an opportunity to collaborate and they joined forces with Matt, the head brewer at Narrows thus, Skateboards, Scooters, and Broken Bones came to life!
This double hazy IPA although built on poor decisions is not one. Scooters, Skateboards and Broken Bones DIPA: A collaboration with CaskCades and PNWBL that focuses largely around Cashmere, with Citra and Chinook as backing hops. A large amount of wheat in the mash and a cooler whirlpool temperature provide a soft foundation and bright, tropical hoppiness. 8.0% ABV.
